The shared chemistry is biology, not marketing. Manuka and jelly bush share the DHA-to-MGO biosynthetic pathway — the chemical assembly line the plant uses to build the compound. They are congeners in the Leptospermum genus; the same plant family produces the same compound through the same metabolic route. The compound is the same. The country and the price are different. Per Standing Rule 1(d), stating this is botanical fact; using it as a "Manuka alternative" frame is not what the page does.

That finding applies specifically to Leptospermum polygalifolium (jelly bush) — honey from the same genus as Manuka. It does not apply to Melaleuca alternifolia honey, which has a different botanical origin and a different chemical profile.
