The Beekeeper's Story

The Beechworth Honey story begins with Benjamin Robinson, great-grandfather of current co-founder Jodie Goldsworthy, who grew up on the Victorian goldfields and established a small beekeeping business on the outskirts of Beechworth in the 1880s. His sons William and Clive expanded the operation into a fully fledged business, with William becoming the inaugural President of the North East Apiarists Association. Jodie, a fourth-generation beekeeper, and her husband Steven Goldsworthy pooled their modest savings to buy 500 hives and a truck, building Beechworth Honey into the national brand it is today — now carried into a fifth generation by their three children.
