The Beekeeper's Story

Everglades Honey is a small, family-run apiary located at 36585 SW 214th Avenue in Homestead, Florida, situated near Everglades National Park. The farm produces raw, wildflower, and ultrafiltered honeys from hives kept on-site, with bees foraging on the natural flora of the South Florida Everglades region. In addition to honey, the farm offers bee removal/rescue services, relocating swarms humanely to their apiary. The business has built a loyal local following over the years. Unfortunately, the family announced a pause in beekeeping operations to focus on co-owner Janet's recovery from stage 4 breast cancer, expressing hope to return to beekeeping in the future.
