The Beekeeper's Story

In 2012, Cal State Fullerton marketing senior Ahmed Bibi started Sheefa Honey after his father bought a jar of honey from a local beekeeper, introducing him to the world of beekeeping and honey production. Inspired by the Arabic word 'Sheefa' (meaning 'healing' — the name given to honey in the Quran), Bibi built a brand centered on the medicinal and nutritional value of raw honey. He forged relationships with local California beekeepers, sourcing and packaging honey using traditional methods under the Sheefa label. The brand has since rebranded to 'HNY' (Honey without the fillers), though the website remains sheefahoney.com. Sheefa/HNY ships nationwide within the U.S. and sells through its own website as well as Amazon.
