Runamok is a family-owned, Vermont-based specialty food company founded in 2016, best known for premium organic maple syrup and an expanding line of raw, infused, and hot honeys. Their honey is sourced from US family apiaries in Montana, Florida, and Upstate New York, in partnership with respected beekeeper Todd Hardie, and is bottled at their 100% solar-powered facility in Fairfax, Vermont.

The Beekeeper's Story

Runamok was co-founded by husband and wife Laura and Eric Sorkin, who moved to Vermont in 2000 and spent a decade as organic vegetable farmers before shifting focus to tapping their maple trees in 2009. After years of selling maple syrup on the bulk market, they launched Runamok as a retail brand in 2016, pioneering infused, smoked, and barrel-aged syrups that quickly earned national press coverage. Building on their infusing expertise, Runamok expanded into honey in 2021, spending nearly two years sourcing premium varietals from family apiaries across the US, with Vermont's most respected beekeeper guiding their selections. Today, Runamok sells its maple and honey products in over 2,100 stores nationally and internationally, as well as through its website and Amazon.
