Keez Beez is a Florida Keys-based raw honey brand producing 100% pure, certified Non-GMO, Kosher, and organic honey bottled straight from the comb. Founded formally in 2015, the company operates 600 beehives across the Florida Keys and Miami-Dade County, sourcing nectar from exotic, seasonally changing tropical flora unique to the region. Their diverse lineup includes varieties such as Black Mangrove, Wildflower, Seagrape, Citrus, Mango, Avocado, and Palm honey.

The Beekeeper's Story

Keez Beez was started in 2007 by two married, recently retired professionals who had moved to live in the Florida Keys. Isabel gave John a single beehive as a surprise birthday present, kept on the upstairs balcony of their home on Sombrero Isle, Marathon. That single hive amazingly produced over 200 lbs of honey in its first year — far more than they could use — and friends and neighbors insisted they sell it. The first dozen 1-lb glass bottles went out to a local health food store in Marathon in the summer of 2007. As one hive became two, then four, then eight, the balcony grew too small and the operation expanded. Keez Beez joined the Fresh from Florida agricultural program, became a state-registered beekeeping company, and formally founded the business in 2015. Today it boasts 600 beehives, a diverse range of honey products sourced from the Florida Keys and Miami-Dade County (including the Homestead and Redland areas), and distribution in major supermarket chains like Publix and Winn-Dixie across Florida, as well as online and Amazon sales nationwide.
