Apicoltura Brezzo is a family-owned Italian honey producer and food company founded in 1948 and based in Monteu Roero, in the Roero area of Piedmont (Cuneo province). For over 70 years they have been selecting and producing a wide variety of monofloral and organic honeys, as well as artisanal jams, truffle specialties, and other Piedmontese gourmet foods.

The Beekeeper's Story

The Brezzo story begins with grandfather Gervasio and his passion for bees in the Roero hills of northern Piedmont. Alongside his brother Carlo, he established the family's reputation in honey crafting, and was among the first beekeepers in Italy to practice nomadic beekeeping — seasonally moving hives to the best blooming areas across the country. His enthusiasm passed through the generations, and today his grandsons Andrea and Fabio run the business from their home base in Monteu Roero (Frazione Tre Rivi), where the family has been for over 75 years. From their roots in pure monofloral honeys, Brezzo expanded in the 1980s to a broader range of quality Italian food specialties, always tied to the Roero and Cuneo territories — including organic lines, truffle products, and fruit preserves. Their hives are placed in uncontaminated fields and honey is extracted by centrifugation without heat treatments, preserving all natural properties. The company is now an internationally recognized name in artisanal Italian honey, distributing across Europe and to the US.
