Ziyad is a national US food brand under Ziyad Brothers Importing, a Chicago-area Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food company. Their honey line includes 100% pure, raw, and unfiltered honey and raw honeycomb, sourced from bees foraging on flowers in the high-altitude mountains of Turkey.

The Beekeeper's Story

Ziyad Brothers Importing was founded in 1966 by Ahmad and Ibrahim Ziyad as Syrian Bakery & Grocery, Inc., a small retail outlet on the south side of Chicago — the first pita bread bakery in Chicago. Over decades the company expanded its warehouse operations and distribution, moving to a 150,000 sq. ft. headquarters facility in Cicero, IL in 1995. Today the company imports and distributes over 3,000 products across North America under numerous brands. In 2022, Peak Rock Capital acquired Ziyad Brothers, and in 2023 the company further expanded by acquiring Vintage Food Corporation. Nassem Ziyad remains Executive Chairman.
