The Beekeeper's Story

Founded in 2016 in Palmer Lake, Colorado, Rocky Mountain Bee Supply relocated to its current Colorado Springs storefront at 24 S. Walnut St. in January 2018. Started by passionate hobbyists, the business was built to support fellow beekeepers with quality bees, equipment, education, and mentorship. The operation is family-owned, veteran-owned, and women-run — proudly Colorado-based. Beyond supplies, Rocky Mountain Bee Supply harvests their own raw, unfiltered wildflower and star thistle honey from hives located in Monument, Colorado, nestled in the foothills near Mt. Herman and Dirty Woman Creek in northwestern El Paso County. The honey is harvested in the fall and processed in their on-site honey kitchen, containing all natural pollen, enzymes, vitamins, and propolis. They also carry honey from Lockhart Honey Farms sourced from La Junta and the Arkansas headwaters region.
