Prairie River Honey Farm is a family-run beekeeping operation based in Grand Island, Nebraska, producing pure, raw, natural honey straight from the hive. The Beekeeper's Story

Prairie River Honey Farm sources its raw honey from hives placed on environmentally protected USDA Pollinator Habitat land along the Loup River and on a family farm near Chapman, Nebraska, along the Platte River, as well as throughout Grand Island near fields of Sweet Clover. The wildlife habitat land is located several miles from any agricultural ground, giving bees access to a diverse floral palette of over 40 blooming wildflowers — including penstemons, prairie clover varieties, milkweed, wild bergamot, rocky mountain bee plant, sunflowers, goldenrod, and asters. With approximately 65 beehives, the farm raises its own bees, extracts honey, and bottles it entirely by hand in Grand Island, Nebraska. The farm sells locally at retailers like Hy-Vee, at a farmers market, and online via their own website, Etsy, and Amazon — offering free shipping nationwide. They believe in the health benefits of raw honey, bee pollen, beeswax, and propolis, and are members of the Nebraska Beekeepers Association.
