The Beekeeper's Story

New England Apiaries LLC and Billy C's Raw Honey started as a hobby with a single hive in 2005, when Bill Crawford was 15 years old and his father brought home a flyer for a local beekeepers club bee school. That early spark grew into a full commercial beekeeping operation with over 5,000 colonies. Bill and his crew provide pollination services to fruit and produce farmers throughout New England and as far as California, Ohio, and Georgia, while running approximately half their hives exclusively in Massachusetts and Connecticut for hyper-local honey production. Each winter, the hives are transported by tractor trailer to Southern Georgia for winter management, with the bees returning to New England each April for the new honey season.
