Azienda Agricola 'Miele di Sicilia' is a three-generation family beekeeping farm run by Sebastiano Di Prima and his wife, located in Zafferana Etnea on the slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily, Italy. The farm produces a range of natural Sicilian honeys including sulla, orange blossom, lemon blossom, eucalyptus, and millefiori, all crafted without additives and in full respect of the bees' natural cycles. It is also home to the 'Casa Museo dell'Apicoltore' (Beekeeper's House Museum), opened in 2005, offering guided visits and honey tastings.

The Beekeeper's Story

The story of Miele di Sicilia begins in 1920 when a humble young man in Zafferana Etnea, a small village on the slopes of Mount Etna not far from the sea, decided to leave farming and become a beekeeper. Over the following years his passion for beekeeping grew into a full family tradition. His grandson Sebastiano Di Prima, continuing the craft passed down through his father Michele, formally established the agricultural company 'Miele di Sicilia' together with his wife. Sebastiano personally oversees every stage of production — from harvesting the honey to packaging and labeling — ensuring the highest quality natural product. On April 2, 2005, the family opened the 'Casa Museo dell'Apicoltore,' a cultural museum that recreates the life and tools of early 20th-century Sicilian beekeepers, offering guided visits, live hive demonstrations, and honey tastings to visitors from around the world.
