The Ginger People is a national ginger and turmeric food and beverage brand headquartered in Marina, California, founded in 1997 by Bruce and Abbie Leeson. They use honey as an ingredient in select products such as their Ginger Soother Lemon & Honey Gingerade, but are not a honey farm or dedicated honey brand. The Beekeeper's Story

Founded in September 1997 by husband-and-wife duo Bruce and Abbie Leeson, The Ginger People began with a mission to produce the world's finest range of ginger products. The Leesons, who had backgrounds in the agriculture industry and had previously sold ginger wholesale, saw an opportunity to build a consumer brand when none existed. Their first products were specialty ginger-based cooking sauces, followed in 1998 by the launch of the beloved GIN GINS® ginger chew candy line. Now approaching 40 years in the ginger business overall, the company is recognized as 'Best Product Line' by the National Association of the Specialty Food Trade and sells over 80 ginger and turmeric products in over 40 countries.
