Beekeeper Direct is the direct-to-consumer honey brand of the Ashurst family, whose beekeeping roots trace back to 1918 when Julian Ashurst began keeping bees in Pomona, California. Over more than a century spanning five generations, the family operation—centered in the Imperial Valley of Southern California and also operating in Fairview, Montana—has grown into one of the most experienced beekeeping outfits in the region, pollinating almonds, avocados, citrus, melons, alfalfa, and other crops across California and Montana. Beekeeper Direct was created to bring the family's artisanal, single-origin honey varieties directly to consumers, offering a wide range of raw, unfiltered varietals sourced from the very plants their bees pollinate each season.
